FRANCESVILLE FALL FESTIVAL

During the third weekend in September, the residents of Francesville, Indiana, gather together

to celebrate life in “A Small Town with a Big Heart.”  Our celebration begins late afternoon on

Friday and continues through Sunday afternoon. During this time, festival-goers can

experience wholesome family fun at very little cost. On our downtown streets, you will find

a variety of arts, craft, and flea market treasures to enjoy and purchase. There are also a

variety of cuisines and specialty foods available throughout the weekend.

Benches are strategically located near many of the booths and food vendors and provide

ample seating for those who want to rest, eat or visit.

MEALS SPONSORED BY LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS

Just in case you’d rather enjoy a casual “sit-down” meal, simply head to the fire station!  There you will find delicious meals sponsored by various local organizations.

Friday evening’s meal, sponsored by the Francesville Salem Township Volunteer Fire Department, consists of fish & chicken strips.

The Medaryville Nursery School starts Saturday morning off right by providing a pancake and sausage breakfast; while the evening meal on Saturday is sponsored by the Humanitarian Distribution Center and features broasted chicken and cupcakes.

Then who can resist a tantalizing Sunday dinner showcasing Indiana pork chops–grilled to perfection?  This dinner is sponsored by the Francesville Fall Festival Committee.

All proceeds from each one of these meals are invested back into our local organizations and benefit countless numbers of Indiana residents, both locally and afar!

ENTERTAINMENT

Much of the entertainment provided throughout the weekend is FREE.  Special activities for
both young and old alike consist of bands, concerts, a family “fun run,” a petting zoo,
a bake contest/auction, various “street” demonstrations, a “harvest dance” for tweens and teens,
a garden tractor pull, a corn-hole tournament and BINGO.

In addition, to playing BINGO the old-fashion way, we also offer CHICKEN BINGO!
It’s a light-hearted, fun-filled game of chance which requires not only people participation,
but chicken participation. It’s one of those “must-see-to-believe” activities that is sure to put
a smile on your face and have your head shaking in amazement!

Three other free highlights of the weekend you won’t want to miss are the parade on Saturday
afternoon, the fireworks display at dusk on Saturday evening and a colossal car show on Sunday.

Each of these events has become a “sparkling jewel” in our festival.   Attendance for these events is huge…so plan to come early and stay late!

Of course, carnival rides and games are available all weekend long, too…for a small fee.   There are a variety of smaller rides for younger children and several larger rides for bigger kids.
